Damien worked to repair an unexpected bathroom problem in our rental unit. We wanted to work with contractors as efficiently as possible because we didn’t want our tenant to be without a bathroom any longer than was necessary! Damien took charge of hiring the plumber because we were traveling at the time. He coordinated the work so that there was no lag between his work and the plumbers work, which kept the bathroom useable for a maximum amount of time. Job was done beautifully and he stayed in contact with us so we understood the timeline and what was being done.Also, Damien is a great guy to work with- easy!

I chose Sutherland construction based on a recommendation from my neighbor, and I couldn’t be happier with the way it all worked out. At the consult, Damien pointed out a simple adjustment we could make to the blueprints which opened up the whole kitchen.

This kind of service continued throughout the whole project, the team offered advice and tips but we’re never pushy and always respected our decisions. They were great with our kids and dogs, and they were always friendly and professional. Honestly, they made it as easy as a full kitchen renovation could be. Highly recommended!

I recently hired Damien Helem of Sutherland Construction for a bathroom renovation, ceiling repair, and a new closet installation. I was extremely happy with the work. They were absolutely great to work with. They stayed within projected budgets, were extremely tidy and respectful of being in someone’s home. They did a great job cleaning up each day and and completed the work in a timely manner. I would , highly recommend them and will definitely use them again in the future.

Sutherland has done a few small jobs in our home and remodeled our basement. The team was excellent – detail oriented, considerate of our needs and creative. They thought of tons of variables that did not even occur to us and helped us make decisions. Cost was always on Damien’s mind and they worked very efficiently.

We had Sutherland renovate our master bath and children’s bathroom along with a few smaller projects. The team is the kindest and most professional group around. They went above and beyond went it came to the details and perfection of each bathroom. Damian has excellent taste and brings a great eye to the project, which we didn’t think we needed. We can’t wait for our next project to work with them again.

Damien showed up on time and took his shoes off at the door. While this may not seem like a big deal, it was theme throughout his work for us. Our project was a fireplace demo and reconstruction, and he was fastidious in containing dust – we noticed none outside the project area – and at the end of each day there was no mess to walk around. When we made a change mid-project, and using a new material, he did not pause, but found the right contacts and best materials to complete the project on time and with a wonderful finished project.

We have him lined up for our next project of changing out doors, molding, light fixtures and painting.

I hired Damien based upon a Front Porch Forum recommendation. I was more than pleased. I found Damien very easy to communicate with. He fully understood my timeline, budget and desired results, all of which he met and exceeded ( he did not exceed the budget, but stayed to the original costs!) my expectations. I have recommended Damien to friends and he is the first person I would call for any future repair/ construction work.
